In this lab we will be covering BGP features as Regular Expressions, AS-Path Filtering, AS-Path Perpending and Communities.
Tasks:
1- Configure OSPF as an IGP inside AS 80 as following:
– PE1 and PE5 in OSPF Area 0, PE2 in OSPF Area 2, PE3 in OSPF Area 3 and PE4 in OSPF Area 4
2- Configure full mesh IBGP between PE1, PE2, PE3 and PE4. PE5 wont be running BGP.
3- Clarify the reason behind Loopback IBGP routes not entering the Global IP Routing Table and that OSPF routes are the ones preferred.
4- Configure EBGP between PE1 – ISP1 and PE2 – ISP2 using directly connected Serial Interfaces. Advertise loopbacks of ISP1 & ISP2.
5- Configure EBGP between PE3 — CE1 and PE4 — CE2 using directly connected Serial Interfaces. Advertise loopbacks of CE1 & CE2
6- Configure EBGP between ISP1 & ISP2
7- Advertise default routes only to both CE1 & CE2.
8- Set ISP2 to be Up-Stream for AS 80 and Set ISP1 to be Down-Stream for AS 80.
Verification:
– Initiate Traceroute command from inside AS 60, AS70, AS 100 and AS 200 to insure that the Up-Stream and Down-Stream are correctly configured.
– Verify that you can ping all loopbacks inside AS80 except PE5, if not, Clarify why then solve the issue.
– On CE1 and CE2 verify that you receive only a default route from the opposing PE router.
